MVT: Most Valuable Team
The clock ticks down, signifying seconds left in the LIII Superbowl. Drew Brees holds the ball, searching for a pass. Searching… searching… searching… and he’s found Michael Thomas. Brees launches the ball straight into Thomas’s receiving hands. It’s a beautiful throw and a beautiful catch. The crowd erupts: another touchdown for the Saints. Of course, it’s basically routine at this point. As the clock hits 0:00, the Saints players, coaches, and fans go wild. We’ve won the Superbowl, with a final score of 77-0. Well, that’s what happens when you don’t even have an opponent because you’re the only deserving team in the NFL.
(Unrelated side note: I hate the Patriots. I hate the Rams.)
