This year the Newman Players are putting on the production of Romeo and Juliet, starring E Freyou as Juliet, and Onyx Kukuy as Romeo. This is Onyx’s first high school lead, and E’s second (she starred as Agnes in last years production of She Kills Monsters). We are about 5 weeks away from the production, and both cast and crew are excited to put on this show; The crew has been working tirelessly to build the set for the show, and the cast is about three weeks into rehearsal. This modern retelling of the story is in for quite a change, as it is set in New Orleans, and we are very excited to see how it will turn out. E has said “It’s going for sure” and is eager too see how the performance will look all put together; The crew is equally as enthusiastic and are working hard on the construction of the set. The faculty involved encourage everyone to go out and see the show on November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th!
