The fish had been forced out of their overflowing ponds, and now lay limp on park benches. There was no mud to be found, but a copious amount of quicksand pulled down any unlucky traveler. The grass was too alive, due to the abundance of moisture in the air. The gloomy sky cast dark shadows among every brave soul who dared to encounter these morbid conditions. No, this was not the site of the horrific BP Oil Spill. This was typical practice weather at Audubon Park, but the Cross Country Classic was canceled.
