This past week, the varsity Cross Country team traveled to Baton Rouge to compete at the Episcopal Round Table Run at Highland Road Park. Although the team faced hardships with lots of runners unable to run, because of illness, injury, or ACT testing, both girls and boys ran extraordinarily well. The girls team finished 13^th out of 26 teams, and placed 3^rd among 2A teams. In addition, Jessi Rulh placed 5^th overall out of all 236 runners, running a new career personal record of 19:38. The boys team finished 10^th out of 33 teams, and finished 3^rd among 2A schools. Among the 318 runners, Michael Brown placed 15^th overall.

Because of their outstanding performances during the meet, the runners of the week are Carter Carey, Jessie Rulh, Grace Payne, Michael Brown, Parker Dry and Conor Zura. Congratulations to those individuals and the rest of the team for a race well done!
