Over the break, the girls varsity soccer team competed in the Mandeville Classic Tournament, playing against Hahnville, Dutchtown, and Fountainbleau. Missing the starting lineup, the team was still able to pull off a win against Hahnville and compete in two close games against Dutchtown and Fountainbleau, all 5A schools. The girls soccer team also traveled to play the Northshore soccer team on Saturday, January 4th and this past Saturday, the 11th, they lost to Houma Christian in a very close and competitive game with a score of 2-1. In these final weeks of their season, the girls soccer team has many great rivalry games left. They play McGehee, Ben Franklin, Country Day, and Sacred Heart all within the next two weeks. These games will be crucial in power rankings and seeding for state, especially because McGehee, Country Day, and Sacred Heart are all in our division.
