Our girls’ basketball team got to the semifinals for the second year in a row! Senior captain Olivia Estes was proud of the team’s resilience this season: “Despite the obstacles we faced this season, we gave it everything until the very end.” The greenies went an impressive 22-6. This is incredibly exciting because their varsity program just resurfaced in the 2017-2018 school year. 

As a Newman community, we are so proud of the progress that this team has made! Senior captain Lindsey Bain says – “I’m really proud of the strides this team has made, and I’m confident great things are yet to come.” With the strength of the players and coaches, it is clear that the girls’ basketball team will only continue to get stronger, and we are all excited to see it happen.
