Basketball is Headed to the Semis!

This past Friday, March 6th, the Boys Varsity Basketball team competed in Alexandria, Louisiana against Holy Savior Menard. Seeded as fifth, they defeated the fourth seed in the bracket with an impressive score of 60 – 58. With a tied score at the half, the Greenies had to work hard to get the result they wanted to walk away with. Chris Lockett scored a total of 33 points, a little over half the entire points scored that night for the Greenies. Other players also stepped up that night. Junior Javon Ruffin made the game-winning layup to put his team ahead, as well as freshman Will Randle earning a rebound to end the game. In the final three minutes of the game, the Greenies went on a 10-1 run in order to win. Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team for an impressive upset in the quarters.
