Mission Ignition
This weekend I went to help sort beads with members of ARC. This is part of a New Orleans wide competition between schools called Mission Ignition. There are two different service projects each weekend, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, each Saturday for three weeks. To win the competition your school needs to have the most people in attendance, which is tallied up at the end of the month. Although I was the only person in attendance from Newman this Saturday, we still have a chance to win! I had a lot of fun meeting new people from schools in the area and getting to know some of the members of ARC. Sign up at handsonneworleans.org, this weekend you can volunteer to go clean up a nature trail at John Brown Park. If you have any questions please ask me or anyone else in ACTIONS!
