Newman Choir: An Overview for This Year

In late October, the Newman Upper School Choir performed with members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) in celebration of Spanish heritage. This past weekend, the choir performed a concert of infamous movie composer John Williams’ music with the LPO and Mouth Carmel Academy. The concert featured popular music from films such as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Saving Private Ryan.  In the spring semester, the group, led by Mr. Anthony Sears, will travel to Tennessee to compete against choral groups from all across the country.
