7 UP Cake
This week we have a very straight forward and easy recipe. This recipe for 7 UP cake turns a simple pound cake into a moist dessert.
Ingredients:
3⁄4lb butter, softened
3cups sugar
5eggs
3cups flour
2tablespoons lemon extract
3⁄4cup carbonated lemon-lime beverage
LEMON GLAZE
2⁄3cup powdered sugar
1tablespoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Cream butter and sugar together for 20 minutes.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
Add flour and lemon extract.
Fold in 7-Up.
Pour into well-greased 12-cup Bundt pan or tube pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
Make Lemon Glaze- mix powdered sugar and lemon juice together.
When cake is cooled, dribble with Lemon Glaze.
