The Newman Volleyball team advanced to the LHSAA Division IV state final in the Cajundome after sweeping all of their opponents From there, they faced #1 ranked Dunham, after losing to them twice in the regular season. Despite these odds, the Newman volleyball team sweeps Dunham 28-26, 25-18, 25-20, taking home a state championship victory. Leilani Reed was named MVP of the match, getting eleven kills, two blocks, two aces and three digs. The Newman Volleyball team officially won their 19th state championship title, with their last one received in 2022.
